$65 Per Vote . . .
Meg Whitman bought the Republican nomination for the governor of California with a wad of her own money amounting to $65+ per vote she received. She claims that this makes her independent of special interests. I contend that she IS a special interest -- rich people. It's sad that the vote cost that much in a fight between the rich. Gerry Brown, running unopposed for the Democratic nomination spent 38-CENTS for each vote. More in my price range.
