Cliff getting closer

Obama on Meet the Press: Targets GOP inaction on cliff - POLITICO.com

President Obama went on Meet the Press and said this about the Republicans:

"They say that their biggest priority is making sure that we deal with the deficit in a serious way, but the way they’re behaving is that their only priority is making sure that tax breaks for the wealthiest Americans are protected,” Obama said. “That seems to be their only overriding, unifying them."

He seems to have it right from my point of view. The radical Tea Party element seems to have the GOP tied up in knots favoring the rich over good sense. They are willing to sacrifice the majority for the benefit of the few. Politics gone haywire.

20 children dead in Connecticut and greed

Twenty children were shot in Connecticut just two weeks ago and already some ambulance-chasing, greedy lawyer is out to sue the state and anyone else he thinks has money for $100-million. What sort of people have we become? Has greed overtaken everything else in the US? Why can't we leave well-enough alone and stop trying to make everything about personal gain? This is yet another reason to hate lawyers.

Tea Party, worst year in DC, well deserved

The worst year in Washington: The tea party - The Washington Post

Radical groups of any ilk SHOULD have the worst years. The American people need less radical thinking and more centrist compromise. Look what the idiots in DC are not doing to solve the physical cliff thing. The Republicans, especially, are obstructionists, willing to ignore the will of the majority for their own gain. Come together people -- compromise -- and move this country forward, not backward, into recession again.
