Pope Francis: 'I prefer a church which is bruised, hurting and dirty'
The more I hear from this man, the more I like him. He wants the Church to be involved with the people, in the footsteps of Jesus. That is a church that I want to be part of. Sure, there are still lots of problems with the institution, but then, I don't worship the institution, but the man that started it all -- Jesus. Cleaning up the institution and refocusing it on the words and actions of Jesus is, to my mind, the way to make it more relevant in today's world. On Thanksgiving, let us remember the poor and those in need of our help and compassion all over the world and dedicate ourselves to achieving the teachings of Jesus throughout society.
